Firstly is anyone else finding hard to find pics to go with the prompts more so this year?!! I definitely preferred last year where it was more of ‘a day in life of’, ‘boomerang’ or ‘podcasts you’re listening to’. But there we go, you win some, you lose some.
The main mistake I would say I made in the beginning is that I made to high quantities of newly designed pieces. For two reasons really. Firstly I thought they would sell and secondly, as I don’t have my own laser cutter I made larger batches so if demand was high that I wouldn’t have to keep people waiting for 2-3 weeks for a piece. I’ve learnt to trial pieces now and as I’m a year or so in, I know which of my pieces are more popular than others. There ya go!
Also this pic is Gerty. I originally created her for my first ever fair (which was a vintage clothing fair if you’ve been paying attention!) and she was designed to model collar bibs made from vintage fabric...that I never made. So she doesn’t see the light of day much now but she’s happy hanging out in my studio. I think.
Making an additional moldmax60 mold of one of my original Indian Dohkra hornhead pendants. These überrare pendants are best known as the amulet worn by Dean Winchester in the TV series "Supernatural". Nealry impossible to find, i was lucky to find a couple after a 6 year search. I already have a mold that i use to make pewter castings that i copperplate, this mold will go to my foundry for lost wax casting full brass copies. Expect to see them in my etsystore somewhere this year :) #supernatural#supernaturalcw#deanwinchester#jaredpadalecki#jensenackles#supernaturalfandom#samwinchester#prop#cosplay
