Last week, on a post meeting wander with @kkiliszek we spotted this guy painting this beautiful lettering 🧡 I think I’d like to learn this ...(see my stories for another amazing sign writer ❤️)
REMINDER: YOU DONT NEED FANCY SUPPLIES TO MAKE ART! ✨ Don’t get me wrong a better brush can help with smoother lines, but don’t hold back from creating because you can’t afford $10+ on one tube of paint or because you don’t want to “waste” supplies on something that is for fun and may not come out perfect...For these lettering pieces I wanted to stay in one color scheme and honestly just didn’t feel like mixing paint lol so I bought some cheap @marthastewart paints from @michaelsstores with a coupon! My pallet is wax paper, mason jar for water, and some extra backing boards as my canvas... oh and my coffee table as this photo backdrop (swipe to see a pic of my curious cat)
Did a fun hand-painted lettered piece inspired by my momma! “Tough times don’t last, tough people do” is one of my favorite quotes that she always says. She’s one of the toughest people I know and inspires me everyday ❤️
New shops selling the candles this season means time to paint some new logo signs for their displays!
[A *quiet* late night activity... except for the dog who snored so loudly at my feet that I had to take the sound out of the video! 🐶😴🚫🙉]
The frames for these signs are made locally using #northcarolina wood reclaimed from old barns, churches and other buildings 🏚😍 (see stories for more about that)
