Oregon oysters from @nevorshellfishfarm Netarts Bay. Drove like 2 hrs from Portland to the oyster farm only to find out they didn't serve oysters. They only sold them. But the girl showed us how to shuck them and we prepared it in our hotel room sink. Some of the best oysters I've ever had. Sweet and briny, it goes perfectly with @argylewinery Sparkling White Wine which is also from Oregon. You know what they say, "What grows together, goes together."
A few screenshots from last weekends sunny afternoon on Calapooya Creek in the Umpqua drainage near Roseburg. This run is surprisingly close to Eugene and seemingly seldom run by Eugene locals. It’s short, under 4 miles, but easy shuttle, lap-able, and action packed through the gorge with some pretty unique scenery through riparian oak woodlands, perplexing geology, and fun moves throughout. I’m surprised it took me 4 years of living here to hit this run just 60 minutes from town. It was a great way to knock the rust off after a weird winter of very little paddling. Thanks to Roseburg local @kody541 for showing us down and keeping the stoke high. Will definitely go again. #oregon#whitewater#whitewaterismagic#pnwet#pnwonderland#exploregon#oregonexplored#kayak#kayking#whitewaterkayaking#wakabro
