Wood and steel . We did this one roughly around six years ago and it’s back for a touch up, a light re polish and wax . It’s an Oak table 1800 x 1480 x 730 high with the top finished at 50 mm thick . Steel base faced with 10mm thick Oak . Super strong and allows things timber alone can’t do . A comfy ten seater that could squeeze 12 . Plenty of leg room and a small footprint. #finewoodworking#oaktable#oak#customfurniture#customwoodwork#madeinaustralia

Oak Apples, were used in the process of making writing ink from as far back as the roman empire and into the twentieth century, oak apple ink was the main medium used for writing and gum arabic was often mixed with the oak apple ink to make it more viscous and helped bind the ink to the paper surface. This ink can be used as
'spell' ink for writing incantations and are often used in charms where stability, divinatory powers and purification is required.
Oak Apples are high in tannins known as polyphenols which were used as part of the tanning process of animal hides and leather.
