YOGA for BACK PAIN!! This is a quick & easy flow that will help to loosen a tight back. I do this in the morning right after waking up. It helps to stretch your lower back muscles + it warms up your spine. •
Just four simple poses. Start off slow, focusing on your breath. As you inhale send your breath to the parts of your body holding tension.
1. Child’s Pose: Begin here. Knees wide with big toes touching. Push your bum toward the floor & stretch your arms out in front of you.
2. Cat/Cow: Start on all fours. Make sure knees are under hips + wrists under shoulders. Arch tailbone + head up, while sending belly toward the floor. (Cow). Now send tailbone + head down, while arching your back toward the sky (Cat). 3. Downdog: Push heels toward the floor + chest toward thighs. Your heels do not have to touch the floor to feel this stretch.
4. Forward Fold: Bend knees as much as you need too. Reach toward the floor (doesn’t matter if you make it lol). The goal is to get your chest toward your thighs, not your hands on the floor. •
Try this out + let me know how it feels. N A M A S T E 🌻
Hello, 👋🏽🧡💚 I’m ETHEN RUSSELL! I love GOD, my family, and most of all helping people. Three of my favorite hobbies are reading/writing, basketball, and modeling. My vision someday is to become the second, African American President of the United States of America 🇺🇸
You say: “I can’t do it.” ✨ God says: “You can do all things.” (Corinthians 4:13)
Saturday Rise and Flow had its first Open House. The space and I were blessed with pure energy, plants, cards, candles + more! Needless to say my heart is FULL!!! 💙 When I first decided to open up a yoga studio, I knew the following:
I needed a change. Greensboro needed a space to welcome all bodies + introduce the teachings of yoga. I knew that it was my calling, a true blessing from God....I also knew it would be hard + rewarding each day.
🌿Thank you for pouring into me and Rise and Flow. Most importantly thank you for your Grace.🌿
Being 20 is so confusing , at this point is when I realize what the bigger things are and what aren’t , there’s doubt about the future and anxiety about progress . I just keep it pushing day by day and remind myself that change is inevitable good or bad .
