Included in the exhibition 'Radical Beginnings' on view now at #AucklandArtGallery, is Arnold Manaaki Wilson's (1928-2012), 'Te tu a te wahine'. ________
This artwork makes reference to the transformation of females from infancy through girlhood to young adulthood and was commissioned by Queen Victoria Maori Girls School to be installed in their accommodation dormitory. Just wanted to make a post highlighting all of the caring wonderful people who showed solidarity and support after the NZ terrorist attack.
I also want to personally thank my good Christian, Jewish and atheist friends on here who thought about me and gave me support💗 (sorry I couldn't tag all of you)
1. The prime minister of NZ who showed great leadership and empathy. I couldn't imagine Treasonous May doing anything near that level I mean look how she mishandled the victims of Grenfell tower!
2 and 3. The two largest Māori biker gangs made a truce to work together and protect the Muslim community whilst they pray!
4 and 7. Kiwi policewomen wearing headscarves in solidarity with the Muslims and protecting them as they went to cemeteries and masjids.
5. Regular British people up and down the country showing love to their Muslim communities with messages of support and offers of protection.
6. Kiwi police officers in the masjid to work together planning long term plans or protection.
8. News presenters wearing the headscarf in support.
In fact my neighbor, an old German lady, came to my apartment and asked me when I go to pray. That she wanted to come and stand outside the masjid to look after me. Bless her I said our local masjid is an hour away and I can't drive so I just pray at home, so she said ok...let me watch whilst you pray at home!😂 I said it's ok I have my door locked but I appreciate your intentions 💗
I've seen so much positive responses from non Muslims ((better than most of the Muslim leaders lets be honest *down with the Saudi royal family*)) that show me humanity still exists and I'm so thankful, because this attack could have happened to anyone whether they were black, Jewish, disabled, gay whatever the group it is not right and all lives must be protected because they are sacred.
#AncientEgypt, #Polynesia, #Africa... #GobekliTepe is a civilization up to 12 thousand years ago. The #Maori language in New Zealand... The connection of each #era and with each culture has been traced for thousands of years. The #unconditional language that everyone knew was the language of #symbols and #signs. #Archaeologists meet the same signs throughout the world throughout history – from 20 thousand years ago to today. Symbols such as #Allat, and figurines whose hands are raised upward in the symbolic gesture of a “crescent” – and this is quite essential that both hands are in such a position – are found everywhere. “In this regard, I would pay special attention of modern humanity to the sign – “AllatRa”. Its original image is an empty circle, which is surrounded by a crescent horns up. He is one of the 18 original ancient working marks. The name of this sign – “AllatRa” speaks about the quality of its strength. The fact is that at the dawn of mankind, thanks to the original Knowledge, people knew about the One (about the One who created everything), denoting His manifestation by the sound of Ra. The creative power of Ra is the divine feminine principle, the #MotherofAll things, originally called Allat. ” – #RigdenDjappo (from the AllatRa Encyclopedia)
Comments of scientists, archaeologists, heads of institutes, various specialists in their professional fields shed additional light on the essence of the events taking place today – the revival of the spiritual and moral vector of development.
