If I can share with you the biggest turning point in my walk with Christ it would be the point at which I began to walk in Obedience to Him and His word.
Call it pride, arrogance, selfishness etc etc etc... For many years as a Professing Christian I lived my life my way with "a side of Jesus". I walked the line with a foot on both sides (or so I thought) One foot in the world (women, sex outside of marriage, status, money) and one foot in What I thought was my Christian life (Prayed, went to church sometimes, said thank you, helped friends/family, was kind and polite, didn't swear or do drugs, quote some bible verses)
The truth is most people who knew me would probably tell you Josh is a nice guy with something a little different about him. I had really good intentions but I failed regularly! I'm sure many can relate to that. You have faith (people can kinda see it) but you live just like the world does.
I was easily side tracked by women, status and the things I thought would satisfy me.
But I was broken and humbled time after time, lies catch up to you, you can't break hearts and leave a path of destruction without consequences.
When your eyes are opened to your Sin (the ones you think can stay hidden) The brutality of it will bring you to your knees! A Holy God is a JUST God, and WILL NOT let His children sit in sin. I finally saw me for me, and was Disgusted!!! I wept over how far I let myself fall and the pain I caused others.
I saw what God was showing me for SO LONG but too proud to admit. If I Love Jesus, I will Trust him and Obey him.
Christ Died For my Sin, So I may have life and life to the Fullest! NOTHING this world can give can compare to Life In Jesus. I know this because I had what this world could offer and lots of it! And was still empty!
I will live the rest of my days at the feet of Christ, trusting and obeying him because HE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. And I pray the same for everyone reading this. ❤🙏 Jesus over EVERYTHING!
Even My Thoughts I Bring to Jesus!
If we want to bear fruit the way that God wants us to in this life, we MUST make it as much about Him and as less about ourselves as possible. This means leaving our personal passions and desires at the door, and stepping into the calling that God has for each one of us. Are you ready to take that leap? Are you ready to lessen yourself for something so much greater than you could ever do without God being in charge? All for HIS glory. All for HIS honour. HE deserves it all. Let’s go!

The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
What is the difference between a Christian and a disciple?
The Greek word for “disciple” in the New Testament is “mathetes” — which means a “follower,” someone who adheres completely to the teaching of another (Jesus Christ). Making Jesus your rule of life and conduct.
Jesus’ followers were called “disciples” long before they were called “Christians.” The first time the word “Christians” is not seen until the Book of Acts.
Discipleship requires a totally committed life. Sacrifice is expected — (Luke 14:33 & Matthew 16:24).
The word “Christian” means “belonging to Christ.” A Christian is someone who has placed faith in the LORD Jesus Christ (John 1:12). Also been born again by the Holy Spirit (John 3:3).
A true Christian will need to be a disciple of Jesus as well. He or she needs to make a commitment to follow Jesus Christ. Completely abides by the teachings of Jesus, accepts the call to sacrifice, makes Jesus Christ his/her number ONE priority, and lives accordingly. Also he or she should be actively involved in making other disciples (Matthew 28:19-20).
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” - Galatians 2:20 (NKJV). #Jesus#followChrist#disciple#christian#commitment#discipline#discipleship#encouragement
New post is live. Last week, @yeahitscarissa shared her story of struggling through postpartum depression, and this week, I shared my story. If depression is a struggle you or someone you know is dealing with, you are not alone. It’s a hard season, but there is hope. Check out this post and share it with someone you know.

Making memories are so important!☺️
My Dad was always busy working and was never able to make the time to make memories with me so I am so grateful that I get to witness the bond that Olivia and her Dad have. It is such a beautiful thing.🙌🏽
God-willing, Dan will be around for a long time but when the good Lord calls him home, Olivia will have the memories! Something you can’t put a price on! Invaluable!!!🙏🏾 #Grateful
