UNILATERAL DUMBBELL TRICEPS EXTENSION • Ik weet nog goed hoe verbaasd ik was dat ik na een aantal maanden trainen opeens duidelijk mijn triceps zag zitten op de plek waar eerder nog nooit een spier zichtbaar was. In tegenstelling tot bicepsoefeningen vind ik tricepsoefeningen heel leuk om te doen, ik pak ze elke week wel zo'n 1 à 2 keer mee. Daarnaast vind ik het fijn om wat sterker te zijn én vind ik het ook mooi staan! Alleen maar voordelen dus. Having not really eaten today I didn’t have much energy, and burnt out fairly quickly 😅 but I did something. So I’m happy 😊 This past week or so has been HELL. And I’m still not 100%, my appetite is returning slowly but surely, and I still feel a bit iffy but I’m on the mend 😊 I’ve been weighing myself but due to being sick quite a lot, I didn’t really want to share my weight... I’ve lost a lot, but it isn’t representative of hard work and discipline, so it didn’t make sense to share it and celebrate 😅 hopefully I don’t pile on the pounds again when I start to eat more properly! Hur jobbigt och tråkigt det än är att nöta 80kg i marklyft dag ut och dag in så är det de som ger framstegen. Inte trodde jag att de skulle ge mig hela 115kg i PB tillslut. Det är där smärtan kommer in och ger avtryck. När det kommer till smärta i privatlivet så förlorade jag min pappa i tidig ålder. I en ålder där han inte skulle vara med på viktiga stunder som konfirmation, student och heller inte få möta min första och stora kärlek. Jag kommer inte få ha min pappa vid min sida när vi går mot altaret på mitt bröllop och mina framtida barn kommer aldrig få ha en morfar. Jag var helt inställd på att jag inte kunde och ville leva utan min pappa. Men det jag visste var att min pappa ville att jag skulle lyckas och ha ett bra liv. Detta har gjort att jag blivit så otroligt stark, tar absolut inget för givet och livet är det finaste som finns! Smärta vänner, det går över och det kommer alltid något bra och fint ut av det! 🥰

I take life how it comes and I love every single part of it, from the most magical moments to the biggest challenges! 💛 You aren't born with more motivation than someone else, it all has to do with how you approach life! I love any kind of physical activity and when I workout, I don't workout because I don't like how I look, I workout because it makes me feel happy and it makes me feel strong! So if I had to give one single advice it's focus on mental health and performance and the rest will follow! Think about what brings you hapiness and find your balance 💫 I am so motivated for my half-marathon, being able to raise money for a charity cause makes my eyes shine... And once I have something in mind it's hard to take me away from my objective! Training for a marathon is so intense but so fulfilling at the same time! I never felt so good about myself honestly, I can feel that I am pushing my limits every day... such a beautiful and positive challenge 😍 Perseverance and consistency are definitely key in succeeding so of course I had to review my habits (no more alcohol is the hardest part ahah especially when you are in Erasmus) but I know the result will be so worth it and I am so excited for this personal project! I really believe that if we have the right mind-set, the right approach, than nothing can stop us 💪🏻

Functional Training - exercise developed to enable you to carry out daily tasks in life more easily and reduce the risk of injury. Muscles in the upper and lower body are used simultaneously and movements are similar to those you might do at home, at work or during sport. - Typical resistance training (freeweights, machines etc) can sometimes become a bit boring because of its repetitiveness. So when my client @catarinnalopes told me she hated training upper body, we switched to a more functional approach and despite what her face says in the video.. she told me she loved it! 👌🏾😂 - I believe we can all benefit from some form of functional training.
