Whether you have been searching for traditional or “alternative” officiant services for your wedding day, Rev. Deborah Montana is a Minister to all, and she will never turn anyone away!
One of my favorite bridal portraits—a quiet moment, taking it all in.
Please, for your own sake, allot ample time to bridal portraits on your wedding day if you have a strict timeline. It’s the intimate yet exhilarating time you get to spend with your super freshly married significant other. And boy oh boy does nothing ruin it more than a coordinator hovering/rushing you or trying to squeeze everything in in 10 minutes.
Your wedding day is sacred and can be absolutely anything you want it to be, not a production for everyone else.
Ring shots are some of my favorite photos and this one of @victoriatye & Wade’s rings is one I can’t seem to get over.
How I feel about having to turn the A/C on in my car today 🎉
I love the warmer weather and all the activities it has to bring! Well maybe not all.. if you know what I mean 🐶💩😶

“Why, darling, I don’t live at all when I’m not with you.” - A Farewell to Arms
A sneak peek from Katie and Andrews stunning celebration on Friday. When your best friend is a florist with @tailortable and you have the most amazing shoes, a picture is in order.

MOROCCO HERE WE COME! We’re heading there from April 10-22 and I’m available for photoshoot bookings if you’re headed there as well!
This place has been on my bucket list for a while and it feels good to be finally able to cross it off! I heard the food there isn’t that great but that’s alright because I’m not a huge foodie anyways. I’m looking forward to my camel ride into the desert and camping under the stars! Is there anything I must do or try in Morocco? What about Sand Boarding - is it overrated or a must try?
Complicidad y Amor Incondicional! Llegó el gran día! 💖💖💖
It’s funny how words in sequence can have such an affect on our hearts sometimes.
Years ago, when I saw this quote for the first time, it resonated with me. It’s relative not only to art, but to life. There are things matter, but even more than that, there are things that don’t.
If you’re one of those that slows your scroll and sticks around for the captions too, this little quote resonated with me to such an extent that it has found it’s home in some fun design things we’ve been working on recently. More on that coming soon so stay tuned.😉
Last year was tough. I learned a lot. I felt a lot. I struggled a lot. Emotionally and physically. But it’s a new year. I’m hopeful that it will be a good one. Growing in to who I’m meant to be. // pc: @jordanharperco, edited by me
Let’s take a second to talk COUPLES BOUDOIR. How friggin cute are these two!?! I don’t know about you but I love this so so much ♥️
Raise your hand if you are ready for Spring!? I’m not talking the calendar date we celebrate today, I’m talking actual Spring. When the flowers bloom and the pollen causes us to have allergies and the sun begins to warm the ground. The Spring where we all come out of hibernation and feel ready to LIVE.
I’m headed to LA this weekend and cannot wait to photograph beautiful humans in the sunshine!!!
What’s your favorite part about Spring?
Embarrassing Confession Alert: Swipe to see the After! 🙏🏻
"Why does it take so long to get back edited images from a wedding? Can't you just batch edit them?" Mmmm...well yes, but also NO!
I hear this often, especially as many services to edit for Photographers pop up on the daily, and even IF you outsource the initial editing there are still hand tweaks YOU have to make...image by image...after they send them back. .
Largely: Correcting "Color Cast!"
SO many things can affect color, and for the beloved outdoor portrait GREEN Color Cast is a notorious offender. There's nothing quite like thinking you NAILED your image in camera, had a great neutral/white/light Natural Reflector bouncing light onto the subject's faces, only to get to the editing to realize they look a bit...well...seasick! .
The beautiful greenery surrounding them, framing your perfect shot, has BETRAYED YOU!! It has cast them slightly grayish/gangrene, and now you get to tweak it...bonus: even in the same location that can vary greatly depending on the sunlight/clouds 🤦🏻♀️
For the first two years of my Photography Business I had zero clue about Color Cast (sorry ya'll who suffered through that phase! At least they weren't very expensive 🙈🤷🏻♀️😳 #learningcurve), and now, well, it's all I see!
I want my clients to have Timeless | Classic | Vibrant images to pass on to their future generations...in stunning, TRUE to life, Colors & Skin Tones! .
Gangrene/Vampire Grey, or even Oompah Loompah, aren't natural skin tones🤣 So, it takes a bit of finagling to the skin just right when green (or wood, or colored carpet, or colored walls, even brick!, throw your colors as far from Natural as possible.
Meticulous tweaking of the Hue/Sat/Lum and Split Toning are our salvation though, and like anything of value in life it's worth the wait...particularly when Legacy heirlooms like Portraits are at stake🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 .
So if you're getting images made appreciate the art and time your Photographer is taking to perfect your images, and Photographers learn Color Cast Correction if you don't already know❤️ Don't be like Braska, and take two years to figure it out 🙈 Ha!
