"Rule of thumb: The more important a call or action is to our soul's evolution, the more Resistance we will feel toward pursuing it." 🙇🏻♀️
Well, I was clearly meant to read this book at this time in my life. The first section, as the quote on the cover says, kicked my ass! Whew. Had a minor anxiety spell with all the realizations coming through. Being a freelancer and working for myself has been so hard at times. I didn't realize I had been experiencing so much RESISTANCE. Just hearing that word, and hearing all the facets and descriptions of resistance, had me floored. That's what I've been up against. That's what we're all up against. This book was very helpful in explaining that concept. So, here's to showing up and doing the work, whether I'm ready or not, scared or not. May creativity flow just by giving my talents and dreams the time and action they deserve.
I’ve been in Descanso Garden where everything is blooming 🌺 🌸 🌺
Yesterday I wrote about “Hanami” Japanese tradition of watching the flowers.
Today I did it. My #42 of #100newthings. I met Michele who told me everything about tulips 🌷 and camellias.
Such a satisfying activity this #hanami 💫 #花見
And today I tried a special breathing technique. I’m not that kind of person but I really enjoyed and it works. #43 .
I spent a perfect rainy Spring morning at @descansogardens with my sister-in-law, niece and nephew. I can't say enough of how grateful I am for all the rain we've gotten this year in Los Angeles. The rainy, cozy weather and cloudy skies bring so much joy to my east coast heart! The usually brown mountains are literally bursting with green and I can't help but smile every time I see them 💚 (Check out my stories if you want to see way too many flower pics! 😉) #spring#descansogardens#descanso#camellia
