Practicing my 🤪 face since I’m cuckoo for donuts 🍩
My fiancé and I celebrated our three years yesterday by buying a half dozen of donuts from our favorite place, District Donut, and then headed off to Great Falls to eat them and take a hike. It was a beautiful day spent with delicious food and a wonderful man 🥰

A Healthy Body Does Not Convert Sugar into Fat by EastWest Healing
🏻Sugar has been given a bad rap. Of course with little redeeming nutritional value we can see why this could be true and how it could become an easy target. However, it is also the backbone of our DNA 🧬and powers each one of the 37.2 trillion cells 🦠 in our body that give us life.
🏻There is a real tendency in our society to blame all health problems on one thing or another, which over the 30 years has led to the exclusion of fat, carbs, gluten, meat, sugar, dairy, grains and so much more. Unfortunately, it has not made one bit of difference🏻.
The waistlines of people all over the world continue to expand at an alarming rate. Yes the advice to eliminate this or the other is simple, making it an attractive option and anytime you eliminate an entire food group there is a chance you will lose weight as a result of reduced caloric intake, UNFORTUNATELY IT IS NOT SUSTAINABLE.
The causes of obesity are more complex than just sugar alone and until we take into account other factors such as:
1. ✔️The state of the body: metabolic system, cells, hormones, nervous system
2. ✔️✔️The efficiency by which the body is able to take in food, converting it to energy, storing that energy and expending it on a daily basis.
3. ✔️✔️✔️Who we are, where we have come from, what we have been through and
our present state of being.
WE WILL CONTINUE TO OVERLOOK AND LOSE SIGHT OF WHAT IS MAKING US FAT AND HOW TO CHANGE IT.
The bottom line- no single thing — including sugar — causes obesity or weight gain. Many factors including stress, sleep, metabolic health, lifestyle and social environment all work together to contribute to a consistent energy (calorie) surplus, which is what ultimately leads to fat gain. The body will crave sugar when it needs energy because it is one of the 3 main ingredients (glucose, thyroid and oxygen) by which energy is produced in the body. If you eliminate it, you will crave it and these cravings will most likely lead to poor food choices and an excess consumption.

Last night I hosted a few friends for our first cookbook supper club! I love cookbooks and book clubs so I thought why not try and fuse the two. So for the first supper club we all cooked from @chrissyteigen Cravings.
I made the entrees while friends bought either an app, side, or a dessert. A good old fashion pot luck with no rules except cook what stands out to you. It was really hard to narrow down what to cook because she makes a great case for each recipe. The recipes were also really easy to follow. I love that because I like to cook, but I am not always successful.
Can’t wait to see what our next host has planned for the next supper club (no pressure @sanchor17 😄) #cookbooks#becauseofreading#potluck#cravings#letseat#supportyourlocallibrary
Snickerdoodles! I decided after a weekend of having to stay out of the kitchen I’d celebrate my return with a batch of my favourite cookies from @sweetlaurelbakery. They’re light and fluffy and perfect for the warmer spring weather that’s just around the corner (or better be! 😝). A very delicious way to welcome myself home 🍪. Plus they’ll either be the perfect way to celebrate or drown my sorrows depending on how offer night goes tomorrow 😬😆. Send over your best house-selling vibes, k?🤞. #thenaturalblonde

Came across this post and thought that it would help a lot of people out. Cravings can really kill our diet sometimes and if we just take these healthy alternatives, we can make a big difference ❗️ #cravings via @nikgfitness
Can’t wait to pouch these cheesecake filled strawberries tonight! Also made a little cheesecake for tomorrow’s desert with the left over mixture😋🍓
I made the filling by mixing 50g of Philadelphia light cream cheese (4syns) and 1 pot of vanilla kvarg (0.5syns). The total for the for the whole mixture would be 4.5syns however I used just over half of the mixture on the strawberries and the rest on the cheesecake. •
I then dipped in 1 and a half crushed up biscoff biscuits (3syns).
For the cheesecake I used 2 biscoff biscuits (4syns) on the base then topped with raspberries. •
So altogether the strawberries are 5.5syns And the cheesecake is 6syns. •
