Time to get back on track! I called cardio this morning. I am picking and choosing my workouts until January 14th when is time to step up my game. Decided to put more cardio in this week. I hate cardio but quick and easy is the way I roll when it comes to cardio.
I will be doing a brand new program that I am super excited about. Want to see crazy changes in your body? Do SQUATS. Doesn’t matter if you do them with or without shoes, with or without weights, jump squats, goddess squats, wall squats, squat jacks - pick your poison and just do it. Between yoga + @toneitup + weight training I probably hit all of these variations throughout the week, but my current goal is to work my way back up to squatting with 135 (my gym isn’t super photogenic though so this is what ya get 😜) You gotta squat for them 🍑 goals.

Chapter 2- LOVE & PEOPLE (part 1)

Tis been a year of heartbreak for me; deep hard hitting heartbreak. This post is about what all I've learnt about love and relationships through 2017. 😇
Let me explain it through a simile: if life were a walking track and all of us trying to get from point A to point B 🏃
You will primarily meet the following kind of people:
1- those who ll walk with you, while you are walking. If you are ahead of everyone else, you will have plenty of these. But when you fall, they ll be first to walk off. Their reasons notwithstanding (they ll range from we didn't see, didn't know, wasn't convenient etc) ... Point being, they ll walk away. This will include people you thought were family- n that ll break your heart but... Dard ko sehnay main bhi qudrat ne maza rakha hai! 🤷
2- those who will stop for you when you fall. Some just to enjoy the drama but others who stop, may it be just to get you some water, rub the dirt off ... but through little acts of kindness, they ll give you your strength back. These will most often be people you least expect it from 😱
3- those who will actually hold out a hand, or carry you in their arms, while you can't walk-this invariably will be your family and some friends(actual real family, not those who just claim it). People who will not let you stay down for long and do whatever it takes 👨👩👧👦
There are plenty of other categories, but through a fall, I've learnt to remember the faces of these 3. So when you are back on your feet and healed; do forgive but don't forget. Don't forget because for this reason alone, every fall is a gift, it separates the friends from the imposters.
Remember how it feels so you are kinder to others. Remember so you teach your kids to be kind, coz what goes around must come around 🙏
During my hot yoga class, the instructor said: "with every drop of sweat, let go of what does not serve you anymore". So those drops represent all those I once loved but no longer wish to hold on to.
