On Monday we took Bailey to the vets and my worst nightmare came true- We were told to say our goodbyes.
Bailey had an infection that was putting too much pressure on her heart, and along with her heart murmur it was just too much for it. She couldn’t move, she couldn’t eat or drink and she couldn’t even lift her head to look at us.
Luckily after so much work and around the clock care Bailey started to gradually get better. She’s on so many different kinds of medications and new, special food to help fight the infection.
Unfortunately her heart murmur is still there and it is going to affect her, but for now we’re just lucky to have Bailey ❤️
A long looong time ago, a cat came to stay with Shewhofeedsme and Hewhoisboss for a while, just until he could join his loving humans in Dubai, the biggest litterbox in the world! Cat heaven! But it turned out he would have to spend his weeks of quarantine without his daily epilepsy pills.... So Koos (that was his name) stayed in the Netherlands. He was not the healthiest of cats, but he loved being petted and sleeping in the sun and he managed to happily sleep his way into his 17th year anyway! By then, Bumper and Gijsje had come to live with him but more about them later.
