🙏THERE IS BEAUTY IN STORM🙏
Have you ever been down at the beach on a cloudy day and noticed how beautiful it is when the clouds are grey and there is no sun to be seen?
How the grey days filled with rain bring so much needed growth to our land, plants, crops and flowers.
There is so much beauty in these grey days and this applies in the same way to life.
So often we want to only allow the good days and when the bad days come along we push them away, resist what is and allow ourselves to be consumed by negativity and supposed defeat.
However in the very same way that our land needs the rain to grow, we also need the grey days in order to grow our own lives.
There are lessons to learn, things to navigate, decisions to make, adjustments to be had within ourselves and from this there will always come so much growth and beauty.
You just need to begin to see the darker days for what they truly are.......which is beauty and growth.
THERE IS BEAUTY IN THE STORM
It’s often helpful to see ourselves as a collection of many voices and parts. We have our aggressive side, our reasonable and wise side, our critical side, our soft side, etc. We are complex and can feel many different ways about the same thing all at once. Counseling is a place to explore these different parts of ourselves and gain insight into how we think, feel, and behave.
You don’t have to be an alcoholic or an addict for alcohol and drugs to dull the best of you. Those of us recovering crossed the point of no return and must stay clean and sober to survive. However, there’s a new wave of people trying out the sober life and actually loving it because they are feeling more, producing more and living more. I keep meaning to get the book, Sober Curious, by Ruby Warrington, in which she describes the desire and impact of not drinking in her own life. Magical shit happens when we no longer escape ourselves. Many times, we actually end up becoming the person we always wanted to be, which is pretty damn amazing if you ask me. The world needs more powerful, self-loving humans. Humans who treat their bodies and minds like the temples they are. You hold the Divine within you, and it can only be fully felt and expressed through a clear channel. Much of the world prefers you numbed out and into escape, but no one changes the world drunk and high. Maybe that’s why? 🤔🤷🏻♀️ #sober#soberlife#soberwomen#soberlifestyle#sobercurious#clearheart#clearmind#addiction#recovery#sobriety#selflove#selfcare#heal#feel#spirit#alive#beinghuman#beinghumanishard#meditation#meditateeverydamnday#kundalini#kundaliniyoga#awake
Be Better Fam what up!!!
In this week’s #TipOfTuesday I give you three tips to gain control over social media🔑
1)- Don’t use your phone or social media for the first 30 minutes after waking up📱
2)-Set time limits on how long you can use social media for per day and week🚫
3)-Pick one day per week to completely disconnect from social media as a form of digital detox🙏🏼
Health is wealth!
"Our society values alert, problem solving consciousness and devalues all other states of consciousness. Any kind of consciousness that does not relate to the production or consumption of material goods is stigmatized." - Graham Hancock
What would you spend more time thinking/feeling/doing/pursuing if it were not stigmatized?
As someone with bpd I have unrealistic expectations from time to time. I expect that after I moved all of my problems would go away because my living situation has improved but man was I wrong! You can’t wish, smoke, or snort it away. I’m working on accepting that I’ll probably have this illness for the rest of my life but that doesn’t mean I can’t learn to manage it. One step at a time!
Lashes lashes lashes!!!! Love love love!!!! Lashing!!!
Idk why I'm doing the pledge of allegiance, I didn't know what to do with my arm and panicked. But I hate polo shirts. If it's not a button down and has a collar, it's not for me. However, I found myself a fan of this one and since I've been flooding my page with gym pictures I figured it wouldn't hurt to switch it up for once.
When I’m out revving up my chopper on the highway I only listen to two bands punk! You hear me? Nothing else. There ain’t nothing like the feeling of the wind bouncing off my Motley Crüe due-rag as I blast a little Godsmack or Sevendust. It’s like talking to God
